Cat Neutering

Cat Neutering

Objective

Make the male cat sterile by removing both testicles.

Benefits

·         Prevent or put an end to territorial marking.

·         Reduce almost entirely the strong smell of urine in adult male cats.

·         Make the cat less likely to run away and fight with other cats.

·         Allow the cat to maintain his accommodating and affectionate disposition.

·         Promote control of unwanted litters in the neighbourhood.

Drawbacks

Because they are more sedentary, some neutered cats can gain weight more easily if the amount of food they eat is not properly controlled.

Age

As early as three months, before sexual behaviours appear.

Conditions

Be a well-developed animal and known to be in good health, and that proper vaccination has been done by a veterinarian to meet the clinic's requirements.

Recommendations

We insist on the importance for the owner to feed his animal with a diet with components that protect the urinary system, including the prevention of urinary stones. Our technicians or veterinarians will make specific suggestions for your pet's diet.
